It’s Deepika Padukone’s birthday today. The lissom girl turns 26 and is looking forward excitedly to the year ahead.
The sultry Bangalorean has been busy for the last two months shooting for Bollywood project, but is now between shoots to spare time for her birthday celebration with family and close friends. We hear that her father Prakash Padukone, mom Ujjala, and younger sister Anisha will celebrate Deepika’s birthday at the new plush pad in Worli, Mumbai, Deepika recently bought.
Deepika says she’s already gifted herself the new place as the birthday present, but is now looking forward to spend time with her family and friends on her birthday. Also on her wishlist is to eat some homemade food, preferably south Indian.
Meanwhile, friends and colleagues from Bollywood have been wishing Deepika Padukone a happy birthday on Twitter.
“Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Love. Love. Karthik. Karthik,” Farhan Akhtar, her Karthik Calling Karthik co-star wished her.
“Happy bday babe… Have a super year!!!xoxoxo!” wrote Priyanka Chopra.
“Happy birthday most beautiful, get back soon we miss u. Love always,” Arjun Rampal tweeted.
“Here is wish one of my most favorite co stars and dearrrr friend a very happy and jovial, filled with love, birthday! Loads of love to you and a lot of blessing. Keep smiling always,” wrote Neil Nitin Mukesh, Deepika’s co-star from Lafangey Parindey.
Deepika Padukone herself was quite overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and affection, and thanked everyone.
“Thank you all soo much for your love and wishes and making my birthday soo special…X,” she said.
